Conditions of Contract – Domestic Travel
Domestic Travel Unless otherwise stated Air Kiribati tickets are valid for a period of 12 months from the date of issue. Air Kiribati tickets which exceed the expiry period (6months) are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-redeemable for further travel. Name changes will be charged with $25.00.
Not be under the influence of alcohol or other substance abuse. Wear appropriate footwear. Check in by the appropriate check in time (90 minutes before scheduled flight departure). Pool baggage is not permitted.
Fail to Board Policy
Air Kiribati has a fail to board policy which states that a ticket shall be forfeited in the event of a fail to board. Fail to board is when a passenger already checks in at the check in counter and has a boarding pass but does not board the flight for some reason. We therefore encourage passengers to proceed to the Departure Lounge once check in formalities are completed and to be aware of flight boarding announcements. Be a wise traveller!
Airline at Fault – Ticket is Fully Refundable.
When a passenger requests the refund of his/her ticket at his/her own will.
If voluntary refund is requested before 48H of the departure of the first unused coupon of his ticket, a 50% of the fare penalty applies. If voluntary refund is requested within 48-24H of the departure of the first unused coupon of his ticket, a 75% of the fare penalty applies.(Late Refund Penalty) If voluntary refund is requested in less than 24H of the departure of the first unused coupon of his ticket, a 100% of the fare penalty applies.(Only Tax Refund) For tickets issued before 03AUG22, OLD RULE applies, 25% penalty, as long as refund is applied before departure of the first unused coupon of his ticket. If passenger has an original ticket issued before 03AUG22, but has a voluntary change and the new reissued ticket has the date of 03AUG22(OR LATER), NEW rule applies.
In case of a NO SHOW, ticket is considered fully utilized therefore not redeemable for further use and its NOT REFUNDABLE.
It is considered a NO SHOW, any confirmed ticket where as the passenger did not presented themselves for check in or contacted reservation to exchange the booking before 48H of the time of departure.
In case of medical condition discovered within 48H of the flight that will require the passenger to change his booking, MHMS letter with stamp and signed by the doctor is required to be provided by the passenger to the Airline, before the time of departure of the original flight.
In case passenger wishes to change his reservation voluntarily in before 48H to the flight a change fee of 25AUD will be charged.
In case passenger wishes to change his reservation voluntarily in between 48-24H to the flight a late change fee of 50AUD will be charged.
In case the passenger wishes to change his reservation voluntarily in less than 24H for the flight, it is NOT allowed. Baggage allowance 15KGS.
